Conditions of Competition

1.0 OBJECTIVES AND SIGNIFICANCE

The Superkit Philippine Tour is organized with the objective of promoting junior golf nationwide and providing junior golfers in the Philippines with a platform to develop and showcase their skills at all levels.

The Championship further aims to build a reserve of athletes for future international competitions.

4.0 ELIGIBILITY

This tournament is open to all boys and girls junior golfers, as defined by the R&A status of the R&A and USGA, who meet the following eligibility criteria.

4.1 Players will be assigned to divisions based on age as stipulated in table below. In the event that any division has fewer than eight (8) registered players, the committee reserves the right to consolidate divisions. Advance notice will be provided prior to the start of the tournament.

The yardages listed above are intended only as a general guide and may be adjusted at any time depending on course conditions, weather, field size, pace of play considerations, player safety, tee availability, age divisions, recommendations of officials, or any other circumstances deemed necessary by the Tournament Committee. Final yardages and tee placements shall be at the sole discretion of the Tournament Committee.

The committee reserves the right to reject any entry or close registration. Players who completed their registration and made full payment will be accepted based on a first-come, first-served basis.

5.0 RULES OF PLAY

The 2023 Rules of Golf issued by the R&A and the USGA, the interpretations in the “Official Guide to the Rules of Golf 2023,” this Tournaments Terms & Conditions, any amendments or supplements (if applicable) and any additional LOCAL RULES issued by the committee will apply to the tournament.

6.0 FORMAT OF PLAY

6.1 The tournament will be conducted in an individual stroke play format over one (1) round of 18 holes. In the event of ties, ties will be broken by counting back the scores in the following manner,

A. Last 18 holes,
B. Last 9 holes,
C. Last 6 holes,
D. Last 3 holes,
E. The Last Hole (Hole 18)

6.2 In the event that weather or course conditions prevent the completion of the round, the committee reserves the right to use the following format to determine the winners.

  1. For players of the same division who have completed 9 holes or more, their tournament result will be calculated TO PAR based on the 9 holes starting from their first tee off hole. Players who played with minimum strokes TO PAR will be the winner. In the event of ties, it will be broken by counting back the scores using last 9 holes, last 6 holes, last 3 holes, the last hole (hole 9).
  1. For players of the same division who have not completed 9 holes, their tournament result will be based on the minimum number of holes played. In the event there are ties, the winner will be determined by lucky draw. Maximum score of double par will be used in this tournament. Players should pick up their ball as soon as they reach the maximum score and proceed to the next hole to avoid slow play.
7.0 PRIZES & AWARDS

Prizes will be awarded to players with the lowest gross score in each division. 6 winners from each division will receive prizes as follows:

  1. Champion (Gold Trophy + Superkit Custom Made Prize + Superkit Tour Final slot *)
  2. 1st Runner Up (Silver Trophy + Superkit Custom Made Prize)
  3. 2nd Runner Up (Bronze Trophy + Superkit Custom Made Prize)
  4. 3rd Runner Up (Medal + Superkit Custom Made Prize)
  5. 4th Runner Up (Medal + Superkit Custom Made Prize)
  6. 5th Runner Up (Medal + Superkit Custom Made Prize)

The Gross Champion of each division will automatically qualify to play in the Superkit Junior Elite Golf Tour Final. The entry fee for the Final is 5,800 to 6,800 pesos.

International Junior Championship is scheduled to be held in China.

7.2 SPECIAL NOVELTY PRIZES

A. HIO: Superkit Beginner Indoor Teaching Set
B. Eagle: Superkit Product
C. Nearest to Pin: Superkit Product
D. Lucky Draw: 20 Items

The above novelty prizes are subjected to change from time to time. The prizes are based on the availability of the items during the time of tournament. The organizer reserves the right to replace the novelty prizes without prior notice.

8.0 ENTRY FEE, REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION

Entry fees shall be announced per tournament leg.

Entries are subject to approval and no refunds shall be made after the registration deadline.

9.0 CADDIES & SPECTATORS

Players of all age divisions are allowed to bring personal caddies subject to host venue rules and Tournament Committee approval. Personal caddies must wear the official JGFP caddie bib, available for purchase, for identification purposes.

Any related fees or charges shall be for the account of the player or parent/guardian.

10.0 WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

By participating in the tournament, players and parents accept all risks associated with participation in the event.

11.0 DOUBTS & DISPUTES

The decision of the Tournament Committee and appointed referees shall be final.

12.0 DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICE

The use of distance measuring devices is permitted subject to the Rules of Golf.

13.0 TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION

Players must complete registration procedures within the time prescribed by the Tournament Committee.

14.0 TOURNAMENT MERIT POINTS

Merit points will be awarded to all players who participate in the Superkit Junior Elite Golf Tour in every leg including the National Finals.

Order of Merit standings and point system updates shall be updated and released at the soonest possible time by the Tournament Committee.

The top 2 players from each age division and gender category for every tournament date will automatically qualify for the National Finals.

Champion & 1st Runner Up plus Top 6 Order of Merit ranked players will be entered for the Superkit International Junior Elite Championship Grand Final at China in January 2027.

Superkit International Junior Elite Golf Championship (Grand Final) at Mission Hills on January 2027 – details to follow.

14.1 REWARDS & QUALIFYING SPOTS

Divisional Champion & 1st Runner Up of each leg will automatically earn a spot to compete in Superkit Junior Elite Golf Tour Finals.

If a player wins numerous legs, the next player in line in his/her respective division will automatically be entered in the National Finals.

The total number of participants for Superkit Junior Elite Golf Tour National Finals will be capped at 80 players.

Apart from the qualified players from the 6 preliminary legs, it is the absolute right of the organizer to offer the remaining spots to the highest ranked players in the order of merit to participate in the National Finals.

Divisional Champion & 1st Runner Up of Superkit Junior Elite Golf Tour National Finals and Top 6 OOM Ranked of the Tour will earn a spot to compete in Superkit International Junior Elite Golf Championship (Grand Final) at Mission Hills Shenzhen, China on January 2027.

The organizer reserves the right to provide additional invitational slots for players from the provincial leg to play in the Final.

15.0 PUBLICITY

Participants may be filmed and photographed during the tournament.

By signing to this tournament, participants and parents agree to be filmed, photographed, televised or otherwise recorded during the tournament.

16.0 STANDARD OF PLAYER CONDUCT

A. Usage of a handphone during the round causes a distraction
B. Verbal abuse
C. Intentionally distracting competitors
D. Consuming alcoholic drinks during play
E. Any other breach deemed serious by the committee

Penalty:
First Breach – 1 stroke penalty
Second Breach – 2-stroke penalty
Third Breach – Disqualification

17.0 SCORECARDS

All competitors must submit their respective scorecards duly signed and countersigned by his/her marker not later than 10 minutes after completion of their round.

The scoring area is in the tournament office located at the main clubhouse. A scorecard is deemed returnedwhen a player has completely left the scoring area.

Players, parents, coaches, and participants are advised to regularly check official tournament announcements and communications for the latest updates, revisions, and amendments.
