Guidelines & International Tournament Slot Allocation

Selected JGFP Interschool tournament dates will also serve as qualifying rounds for designated international tournaments.
Important: Interschool COC Remains the Same
These events remain part of the regular JGFP Interschool Tournament. All JGFP Interschool Conditions of Competition (COC), tournament rules, format of play, and assigned tee boxes remain the same.
On a designated Asian Qualifying Date, the player’s Interschool score will also serve as the qualifying score for the specified international tournament.
The difference is the International Competition Division in which the player will be ranked and the number of international slots available on that qualifying date. The applicable International Qualifier Division will be reflected in Golf Genius.
How Does It Work?
1. Same Round. Same Tee Box.
Players will play their regular JGFP Interschool round from the tee box assigned to their Interschool division. There is no separate tee box for the Asian Qualifier.
2. International Competition Division
For qualifier purposes, players will be grouped and ranked according to the age and gender division of the specific international tournament. This may be different from the player’s JGFP Interschool division. The applicable division will be reflected in Golf Genius.
3. Your Interschool Score Is Also Your Qualifier Score
The score from the designated JGFP Interschool round will also serve as the player’s Asian Qualifier score. Players will be ranked against other eligible players in the same International Competition age and gender division.

How Are Qualifying Slots Awarded?
Players will be ranked based on their score within the applicable International Competition age and gender division reflected in Golf Genius.
The number of players who qualify will depend on the number of slots allocated to that specific age and gender division on that particular qualifying date.
Example: If 2 Girls’ slots are available for the 15–18 division, the Top 2 eligible Girls in that International Qualifier Division will earn the available slots.
When More Than One International Tournament Is Being Qualified for on the Same Date
If an Interschool qualifying date offers slots to more than one international tournament, players will be given priority according to their qualifier ranking.
The Top 1 player will be given first choice of the available international tournament slots for which he or she has qualified. A player may accept and play in both international tournaments, provided the player has qualified for both.
The next-ranked player will then be given the opportunity to accept the remaining available slot or slots, based on ranking, eligibility, and slot availability.
If the Top 1, Top 2, or succeeding qualified players decline an available slot, JGFP will contact the next eligible player in the qualifier ranking until the available slot is filled.
Confirmation of International Slots
Qualified players and their parents must confirm whether they will accept the international tournament slot when contacted by JGFP Admin.
Players will be given a reasonable period, as communicated by JGFP Admin, to confirm their participation. If a player is unable to decide or fails to confirm within the period given by JGFP, JGFP reserves the right to release the slot and assign it to another eligible player.
This is to ensure that available international slots are not left unused and that all tournament registration requirements and deadlines can be met. A slot should only be considered officially secured upon confirmation from JGFP Admin.
If a Qualified Player Declines a Slot
If a qualified player declines or is unable to accept an international tournament slot, the slot does not automatically belong to the next player in line.
JGFP will determine the allocation of the available slot and may contact the next eligible player based on the qualifier ranking, or another eligible player as determined by JGFP.
JGFP reserves the right to make the final decision on the allocation of all unclaimed, declined, released, or otherwise available international tournament slots.
Players and parents are kindly requested to wait for official confirmation from JGFP Admin before considering any international tournament slot secured.
