AJGA Entry Tips:
AJGA has a point system to gain entry to different events which uses earned stars. Upon registration you will receive 2 stars which you can use for registration to your first event. There are however, other ways to get entry if you are joining for the first time. One is by means of a 1 day qualifier for open events and qualifier events. Hurricane Golf Tour is easier to get access to but are mostly based in the East Coast. It is not as famous to college coaches as the AJGA but if you are still between the young age of 11-14 then it doesn’t matter since you are probably just starting to build your competitive confidence under the USA soil. The field are not as hard as the AJGA thus would be best to gain competitive exposure and a good confidence builder for the kids. They also have more events per calendar year which you can pick from.

AJGA and Hurricane Golf Tour are very good venues to gain exposure to competitive fields in the USA and early exposure to college coaches. Some coaches also use these events to view your competition performance through the stats you gain on paper and attitude you show during the actual competition.

Travel Plans Tips:
To save on travel costs while doing your USA events, make your calendar first based on the three organizations’ schedule above. Try to get them together atleast 3-4 days apart to give yourself time to travel from the previous event to the next, and give your player ample time torest/practice.
