MALIXI, CHAN SOAR HIGH IN IMG ACADEMY JUNIOR WORLD TILT DAY 2

Rianne Malixi and Aidric Chan continue with their impressive performances on Wednesday (Thursday in Manila) after the second round of the 2019 IMG Academy Junior World Championship in San Diego, California.

Malixi shot a three-under par 70 to improve her previous seventh ranking to a shared third spot with Elina Kuang of United States with four-under par 142 total in the girls’ 11-12 division.

Bernice Ilas and Eagle Ace Superal, meanwhile, finished with even par scores to inch closer to the leaders in their respective divisions.

Ilas was at tied fifth with 144 total in the girls’ 15-18 while Superal forced a three-way tie at seventh position in the girls’ 13-14.

On the other hand, Chan leaped from the 26th spot to tied-fifth after scoring a three-under 69 for 141 total in the boys’ 15-18 division.

Miguel Ilas got a level of play in the boys’ 13-14 by landing at an eight-way tie at No. 12 with even-par 144.

Most of the Philippine bets struggled versus their rivals, who came from 56 countries and 42 states.
